Last weekend the gang, joined by Matt Parris, traveled to the Morris household in McCreary County Kentucky located in the heart of the Daniel Boone National Forest. Matt's mom fed us spaghetti immediately upon our late night arrival already making the two and a half hour drive well worth it. The next morning we got up early (about 9:00) for fishing and shooting. Collectively, we caught two fish and lost three of Matt's Dad's Pistol Pete fishing lures just as the wise old man had predicted. Following a sack lunch, we crossed the creek to family friend Kenneth's house to shoot clay pigeons with a shotgun and rock some glass bottles with a pistol.

Nightfall brought us home to a grilled chicken dinner and 'We Were Soldiers' starring Mel Gibson. Sunday morning we rushed back as fast as Parris' luxury sedan would go. We were in such a hurry, Morris had to pee in a Hawaiian Punch bottle on the way.

Luckily, we made it back just in the nick of time to...well...I guess we really weren't in a hurry for any reason. Nonetheless, if you come over, don't drink the Hawaiian Punch.
