Matt's mom fed us spaghetti immediately upon our late night arrival already making the two and a half hour drive well worth it. The next morning we got up early (about 9:00) for fishing and shooting. Collectively, we caught two fish and lost three of Matt's Dad's Pistol Pete fishing lures just as the wise old man had predicted. Following a sack lunch, we crossed the creek to family friend Kenneth's house to shoot clay pigeons with a shotgun and rock some glass bottles with a pistol.

Nightfall brought us home to a grilled chicken dinner and 'We Were Soldiers' starring Mel Gibson. Sunday morning we rushed back as fast as Parris' luxury sedan would go. We were in such a hurry, Morris had to pee in a Hawaiian Punch bottle on the way.

Luckily, we made it back just in the nick of time to...well...I guess we really weren't in a hurry for any reason. What have we been doing? We don't post any new entries. Where are we? Well, I guess Mikey, Robb, and I have been slackers in the blogging world, but the truth is we have been so busy doing all sorts of crazy stuff, we just haven't had time. We all went to Florida for Spring Break and camped at St. Andrews State Park. We took Mikey's mom's car, and Robb and I wrote "Spring Break '05, show us your tits" on the back window. We thought that the Interstate would just be saturated with crazy spring break girls just dying to take their clothes off. Well, we were wrong. We saw no tits, but some guy lifted his shirt up for us. Anyway, the trip had its moments, but since it was three weeks ago or something, I'll just give it to you in a nutshell. Matt, Robb, Brandon, Mikey head down to Panama City for Spring Break; Matt, Robb, Brandon want to have wild time and see lots of tits, Mikey want to yell at Matt, Robb, Brandon whole time and get mad about everything. Matt, Robb, Brandon go to strip, rent mopeds, cruise around, have awesome time; Mikey sit around on beach and get sunburned. Matt, Robb, Brandon go to night club, get hammered, dance w/ chicks, see lots of boobs at wet t-shirt contest. Mikey sit at campsite b/c nightclub is "trashy". Anyway, that was pretty much how it happened.

What else has been going on? Well, UofL did make a great run all the way to the final4, and of course, Robb and I got tickets for all three games in St. Louis for a total of $30. It was beautiful. Of course, Mikey didn't get tickets b/c the final4 sounded like way too much fun. Matt Parris, Charity, my brother Jordan, and Cameron got tickets in the UofL lottery (the school had a lottery and those that signed up and were picked got really cheap tickets). We all went up to St. Louis for an awesome three day weekend. UofL did lose, and that kind of sucked, but we did sell our championship tickets on the street, so the money we made eased our pain. Parris, Jordan, Cameron, and I painted up for the game against IL. That was really fun; people I didn't even know came up to me and wanted a picture w/ me. It was kind of cool; I met a lady from Canada, a lady from Maine, I can't remember who else. Oh yeah, and when I was in the bathroom between games, I looked next to me and Bob Costas was using the urinal. Jordan and Cameron got to meet JJ Reddick on the street too. In all, the final4 was an awesome experience.

This past weekend, Robb travelled back to FL for a robot team competition. He lead his team to a third place finish. They were all pretty happy with their performance. Also, Mikey went to Nashville for an ultimate tournament (the tournament is called Monkey Bowl). His team did pretty well too. Updates for the Apartment Olympics will be up soon, and we'll have some final4 pics up too.

Eball '05!

3310D does not just go to an event, we own the event... Hell, we are the event. Eball was no exception. Mikey, Robb, and I refused to let our senior year eball be ordinary. Ordinary is not in the 3310D vocabulary. We knew we had to make it special; we knew... we had to make it hot. Of course, this couldn't be done without coordinated outfits and a sweet dance sequence, so we spent the week before secretly planning our dress and polishing up our dance moves. Agreeing on outfits was tough, but as I told Robb, we had to find something that stood out. Robb I said, when we walk into that dance... I want heads to turn, and when we bust out that dance sequence, by God, I want people to cheer. I want it to be... unforgetable. It was just that. We got the perfect outfits on Wednesday night. We couldn't even contain ourselves the next couple of days. Every night we had to put them on and walk around the apartment. Damn we looked good.

We got the dance down by Friday night, and Saturday night was showtime. When we walked into that room... heads definitely turned. When the crowd got word of our dance sequence, there was a buzz around the room. When the music started and we hit our first lineup of the sequence and the crowd roared; I knew... this eball certainly was anything but ordinary. That was a moment Mikey, Robb, and I will never forget. At that moment, all eyes were on us. At that moment, every girl in that room wanted to be with us, and every guy wanted to be us. At that moment, eball was 3310D.

Apt. 3310D vs. The World

Bent Creek Apartment complex may not be the best place to live. The lights flicker on and off every time a truck drives by on the interstate. Our sink leaks a gallon of water daily. And on at least one occasion the police used their stun guns on a huge naked black guy next door. But what makes this apartment special isn't the surroundings, but rather what's held within the walls of apartment 3310D: three master craftsman, a cumulative GPA of 3.964, 1/2 of the intramural doubles ping pong champions, a stand up comedian, the number one civil engineering major, and three of the hardest bodies you've ever seen. In spite of all this we realize that other apartments have also accomplished a great deal. Therefore, to any apartment reading this, we hereby issue the challenge of the 1st apartment Olympics: a series of events to test the collective physical and mental toughness of each residence. We expect worldwide entries for the contest, including events such as: arm wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestling, a cook-off, a trivia contest, and a ping pong tournament. Please inform us of any suggestions you may have for other events.

stand up

I did my first stand up set tonight at the Comedy Caravan's open mic night. A lot of people came out to see me, and I really appreciate everyone showing up. This was one of those things that I really wanted to try this semester, and I think I'll try to get a spot next month too. In other apartment news, Mikey, Robb, and I have made our plans for spring break. We're going camping outside Panama City (b/c we're too cheap to actually get a hotel). It should be a good time though, b/c of course, we get to show our bodies off. Especially Robb; I've never seen anyone so focused. He works out all the time; he's so hard core. In case everyone has been wondering, the music video that we're making is still in progress. We haven't started filming, but it will be coming soon. Also, eball is coming up. It's our last one of college, so we really want to make it the best. Last year was a ton of fun, but this year Mikey, Robb, and I are making a dance sequence and we're going to have a dance off against Parris, Dave, Fuchez, and Greg. I hope they're ready for it. That's all the news for now... stay tuned.

CD Rack!!!

Alright, in case you guys don't know... the cd rack is probably one of the original stories coming out of our apartment. So when Robb comes back from New Mexico and moves in, we all go to Target to get stuff for the apartment. Robb buys a cd rack that is basically two blocks of wood with grooves cut so one can fit inside the other. When it sits on your desk, it looks like an X. The thing costed $25, and Mikey immediately told him it was a rip off, and he was dumb for buying it. Robb quickly responds that he just bought it to see how he could make it, and he was planning on returning it and making his own. When we went to Home Depot for some string lights, Robb headed to lumber. Mikey asked him where he was going, and Robb told him that he was getting some wood for the cd rack. Mikey vowed that he would never see the day when Robb would actually build the cd rack. Then for X-mas, Robb and I got Mikey a huge sheet of pre-treated pine and wrote DO-IT-YOURSELF-CD-RACK-KIT on the wood. Well, I'm pleased to say that as of two weeks ago, we built that cd rack! We used the pine, a hacksaw, a hammer, some nails, no shirts, and tight fitting jeans, and by God we did it.

The cd rack is up, and it's awesome. It has two compartments for DVDs, and two compartments for cds. We've already had some requests for orders. I don't know if we're going to get around to those though. Robb and I have some more projects on the horizon. We're currently in the process of laying out plans for a ping-pong paddle holder that mounts on the wall behind the ping-pong table in the living room. It will of course have custom name plates for each of us (Animal, T-bone, and Cocoa). Those are our "ping-pong names". Anyway, that's all for now. The weekend is coming up though, and it should be interesting. Robb, being a man's man, has challenged Hilary to a game of one-on-one basketball simply because she is a girl and he should be able to beat her. We're all going to watch, it should be quite a contest

Masters of Ping Pong

For those of you who don't know, our apartment has recently acquired a new addition. For Christmas, Charity, Robb's girlfriend ("baby" as he calls her), gave him this sweet present. Although playing about 10 games of ping pong everyday is awesome, I hope that this doesn't affect my grades down the road. Oh well, who cares about that now, just as long as we become ping pong masters, right? Of course. The three of us play ping pong for many different reasons: to win all the beans, to decide who my best friend is, to give Robb a reason to wear his new brown Adidas suit, and so we can call each other by our ping pong nicknames--Animal(Robb), T-bone(Matt), and Cocoa(Mikey).

Hmm, can anyone tell me how to pronounce this name?..."Stiga".

What Would Arnold Do?

After Christmas, on the way back to school I stopped in the Lexington Barnes and Noble. In my jeans pocket was a red hot $25 gift card. In my left hand was the book for my actuarial math class: "ACTEX Study Manual for the SOA Exam P and CAS Exam 1, 2005 Edition." In my right hand was "Arnold Schwarzenegger's New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding." Twenty-five dollars each. Now, I know what everyone reading this is thinking: "Come on Robb, this is a no brainer for you. Begin exploring a promising new career option and open a new direction for the future or get frickin' huge (in only 12 weeks)???"

Don't worry guys, I came to my senses, and so did Matt and Mikey. In a few months you probably won't even recognize us. But you will notice us. Maybe not Mikey so much. He says he wants to gain about ten pounds of muscle and then focus on definition. But through rigorous training and dieting and our new tool (Arnold's Enyclopedia) Matt and I will probably be able to bench more than most of the football players pretty soon. Stay tuned to the apartment blog for updates.

So that was my first ever blog entry. Did I do everything right?

start of spring

Mikey is really mad because I haven't been putting any blogs up. In case you don't know, this blog is to keep everyone updated on what is going on in our apartment. We have a ping-pong table now, and we play all the freakin time. Right now, Robb is the apartment champ. He has a new brown warm-up suit that he likes to play in. He doesn't wear a shirt underneath the jacket so he can show off his chest hair.

Right now, our apartment is in deep thought. Robb is itching to build something, so we've thought about how Robb could build a separate room for the ping-pong table. Since the live-in maid plan fell through, we never built the extra room, but now... I think the ping-pong table needs its own room.

I guess the only other thing to talk about is Mikey's current state. He's single, and he's getting a little anxious. His college career is coming to a close, and he still hasn't found a girl. Everyone knows that right after college, he plans on immediately getting married and starting a family. This is why he needs to find a wife really soon. Everyone make sure that they keep their eyes open for a girl that wants to be Catholic and make babies. That's all for now.

Momo is a piece of JUNK

I'm sure you all know how I, Mikey, with no intetion of harm, accidentally hit Momo's beloved Kramer poster with an ultimate disc one day while throwing it down the hall, and making a very small non visible crack in it. Well, Momo decided to tell the entire world how bad of a person I was and how crushed he was to see his poster ruined. But I'm sure you don't know that Momo, just the other day, did the exact same thing, making the invisible crack into a bigger, visible one. Not to mention he totally destroyed one of my ornaments on the Christmas tree after it bounced off his poster.
